Meet Ronald Taylor, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Taylor was raised in St. Joseph. He graduated from Central High School and Missouri Western State College. Prior to going to Dental School, he worked for Dr.’s Cecil Albright and James Quinn, two local Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons that helped inspire his career choice to follow in their footsteps. After graduating from UMKC School of Dentistry in 1981, he received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the University of Iowa, simultaneously obtaining a Masters Degree, as well as his specialty training.
Dr. Taylor returned to St. Joseph to begin private practice with his mentor, Dr. Albright, and later was joined by another Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Keith Schmitt. Dr. Taylor became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 1987. Dr Taylor and Dr. Gossett joined forces at their current location in 1997.
Dr. Taylor is past President of the Northwest Missouri Dental Society and the Missouri Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has served as Delegate to the ADA and MDA House of Representatives.
Dr. Taylor has served as Chairman of the Bylaws Committee of the Medical Staff at Heartland Regional Medical Center for a number of years and currently teaches Oral Pathology to the Dental Hygiene students at Hillyards Technical School for the St. Joseph School District.
